Run for Faith 2026: A Fun Run to Rebuild the San Vicente Ferrer Shrine

Lace up your running shoes, Bogohanons. On August 29, 2026, the community comes together for "Run for Faith: Rebuild for Tomorrow," a fun run for a cause at the Bogo City Amphitheater.

The event marks the launching of the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Vicente Ferrer (ASSVF) church reconstruction, and it also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the shrine's elevation as an Archdiocesan Shrine. Every step taken that morning goes toward rebuilding a place of worship that means a great deal to Northern Cebu.

The run starts early. Assembly is at 4:00 AM, followed by a Zumba warm-up at 4:30 AM, and the gun start at 5:00 AM. Runners can choose from three categories: 3K, 5K, and 10K.

Registration fees are ₱800 for the 3K, ₱900 for the 5K, and ₱1,000 for the 10K. The deadline for registration is August 22, 2026, so sign up early. You can register at any of these outlets: the ASSVF Souvenir Shop, Dela Rama Cake Shop near Rizal Park, Kuchefnero near Prince Express Inn, Lea Pharmacy in Brgy. Dakit Proper, Stella de Mare Wellness Sanctuary at the Northomes Building, Café Alto on the way to Bogo City Hall, and Mabel and Eric Store at the corner of the Bogo Public Market.

For questions, you can contact Daisy Dignos at 09176317787, or send a message through the Facebook pages of the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Vicente Ferrer Bogo, Cebu, the North Bogo Lady Eagles Club, and the Cebu North Bogo Eagles Club.

More than a race, this run is a chance to move for something bigger than a finish line. As the organizers put it, "Matag Lakang... Handumanan sa Paglaum." Every step, a keepsake of hope. See you at the amphitheater.

Rome was not built in a day, thus we are trying our best to fashion the tools of governance that wiull help in achieving the goals we had set for our city and our people. We are fortunate our efforts in this direction have been recognized. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has fiven the City of Bogo the Seal of Good Housekeeping. It is an award given to local government units in recognition of their good governance pratices for its efforts in the areas of Good Pl...
