Barangay Cogon in Bogo City is gearing up for one of its biggest weeks of the year. In honor of its patron, Señor San Roque , the barangay celebrates its fiesta from August 7 to 16, 2026, with a full run of nights that has something for just about everyone, whether you are there for the food, the dancing, or the show. Things kick off on August 7 with the Opening Salvo and Mayor's Nite at the Barangay Cogon Covered Court, starting at 8PM. Bogo City Mayor Mayel Martinez headlines the night, and the crowd can look forward to a Zumba Competition to get the fiesta moving right from the start. Lace up your running shoes, Bogohanons . On August 29, 2026, the community comes together for " Run for Faith: Rebuild for Tomorrow ," a fun run for a cause at the Bogo City Amphitheater . The event marks the launching of the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Vicente Ferrer (ASSVF) church reconstruction, and it also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the shrine's elevation as an Archdiocesan Shrine. Every step taken that morning goes toward rebuilding a place of worship that means a great deal to Northern Cebu . The run starts early. Assembly is at 4:00 AM, followed by a Zumba warm-up at 4:30 AM, and the gun start at 5:00 AM. Runners can choose from three categories: 3K, 5K, and 10K. Barangay Punta in San Remigio, Cebu is getting ready for its biggest week of the year. From August 13 to 16, 2026, the barangay celebrates its annual fiesta in honor of its patron saint, Señor San Roque , with four straight days of dancing, running, music, and prayer. The theme this year says it plainly: One Faith. One Community. One Punta. The celebration opens on August 13 with SK Night 2026 , a hip-hop dance contest at the Punta Covered Court. It's an open category, so crews from Punta and from other places are all welcome to join. Bring your best layshow and set the stage on fire. Wedding photographers, videographers, planners, florists, parish appointed wedding coordinators, and members of the Family and Life Apostolate gathered at the Parish of the Holy Family of Nazareth in La Paz, Bogo City for an accreditation seminar for church wedding coordinators. The session was held under the district-based program of the Archdiocese of Cebu for Far North Cebu, District VI. Fr. Glenn Guanzon of the Archdiocesan Commission on Worship delivered the first and second conferences, Edson Marañon gave the pastoral reminders, and Fr.
