Barangay Punta Fiesta 2026: Four Nights of Color, Music, and Faith for San Roque

Barangay Punta in San Remigio, Cebu is getting ready for its biggest week of the year. From August 13 to 16, 2026, the barangay celebrates its annual fiesta in honor of its patron saint, Señor San Roque, with four straight days of dancing, running, music, and prayer. The theme this year says it plainly: One Faith. One Community. One Punta.

The celebration opens on August 13 with SK Night 2026, a hip-hop dance contest at the Punta Covered Court. It's an open category, so crews from Punta and from other places are all welcome to join. Bring your best layshow and set the stage on fire. The champion takes home ₱7,000 plus a certificate and plaque, second place gets ₱5,000, and third gets ₱3,000, each with their own certificate and plaque. Every non-winning team still goes home with a consolation prize.

August 14 is Community Night, headlined by the 1st Punta Battle of Festivals 2026, the barangay's own festival showdown taking the stage for the very first time.

Then comes the big day. On August 15, the 5th Punta Color Fun Run 2026 flags off at 4:00 AM from the Punta Covered Court, with Zumba warm-ups at 4:20 AM. This year's run carries a cause close to home: "Run for a Cause: Rebuild Our Chapel." There are two 7-kilometer categories. Category A costs ₱380 and includes a free white-and-yellow shirt, water, and a finisher medal, while Category B costs ₱130 with free water and a finisher medal. Good news for anyone still deciding: registration has been extended until August 7, 2026, so there's still time to sign up. The route runs from Punta Elementary School through Dawis, Sitio Sangi, Curvada, Barangay Punta Crossing, Sitio Midway, and the Sitio Larway road traverse.

The 15th doesn't stop there. The same day brings a Fluvial Parade, the Walk Procession for San Roque, Coronation Night, and a night of Acoustic Music featuring a disco party.

The fiesta closes on Sunday, August 16 with the Barangay Punta Music Festival 2026 at the Punta Covered Court, starting at 7:00 PM onwards. Get ready for an unforgettable night of music, lights, and non-stop party vibes, powered by MS Pro Lights & Sounds. The lineup puts four DJs on the decks: DJ Xtine, DJ Cyrel Fernandez, DJ JP Borbajo, and DJ Richard. Every ticket holder gets a free complimentary drink, generously sponsored by Hon. Jessa Olivar, SB Member. It's one night, one beat, one Punta, so come make some noise and create memories that will last forever.

Between the dancing, the running for a cause, the procession, and the music, there's something for everyone in Punta this August. Gather your family and friends, come home to the barangay, and let's run, color, and celebrate together as one Punta.

5th Charter Day Celebration

Message from the City Mayor The City of Bogo celebrates its 5th year of cityhood. And yet, it seemed but only yesterdaythat we finally earned our right to be recognized as one. It was a recognition bitterly fought at the highest court of the land; it was a victory that, no doubt, is a major one. But as far as we in the administration are concerned an even greater struggle is at hand: proving we can achieve the goals we had set in the first place when we pursued the dreams of cityhood. Rome was not built in a day, thus we are trying our best to fashion the tools of governance that wiull help in achieving the goals we had set for our city and our people. We are fortunate our efforts in this direction have been recognized. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has fiven the City of Bogo the Seal of Good Housekeeping. It is an award given to local government units in recognition of their good governance pratices for its efforts in the areas of Good Pl...
